Ms. Jasmine Magallanes graduated with highest honors in Communication Studies from Chabot College. Jasmine is also a professional singer, actress, stage performer, 18 Time National and World Champion Martial Artist and Hall of Famer. Her acquired fame and skills have led to multiple Hollywood invitations and productions. Among being a VIP special guest and performing for the Bruce Lee “Enter the Dragon” reunion, she was also invited to walk the red carpet with Jackie Chan for the 2010 Hollywood premiere of “The Karate Kid” movie. Jasmine is an amazing teacher who utilizes her many talents and experiences to inspire and teach students the needed skills required to achieve their fullest potential.

Teirrah McNair (aka Ms.T/Rev T) is an unstoppable people builder, pastor and published author on a mission to equip her audiences with well-crafted strategies for successful living. Whether on the road preaching or at home in the bay area facilitating soft skills workshops, Rev T brings a special blend of energy, humor and passion to the table. Her 25 plus years of experience includes seasons of coordinating an employment program for youth at risk, serving as an artist in residence for both California and Alaska’s art councils, as well as a nine-year stint as a literacy specialist. Additionally, she enjoyed a robust career as an actress and graced stages internationally with a wide array of quirky characters. One of those characters, Lucille Nadine Alexander, appears now as a character in one of the children’s books McNair has authored. Vicki Faden Millar is a 35-year teaching veteran with a passion for working with children. Vicki’s aim is to help students discover the joy of expression while acquiring greater self-esteem and discipline in a creative, non-threatening environment. Vicki received a Master of Arts degree in Modern Dance from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in pedagogy and performance. She taught in Physical Education/Dance at BYU-Provo, Indiana University, and BYU-Hawaii. As an Artist-in-Education, Vicki has taught in public schools K-12 and in special education facilities throughout the country. As a Fine Arts Specialist, Vicki developed a modality based fine arts curriculum for early elementary education in Livermore, CA. Vicki also works with dance and physical educators nationally and internationally assisting them in lesson development and teaching styles. Vicki currently teaches in the Department of Kinesiology at Diablo Valley College, is a Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, and a director/choreographer for Behold Dance Collective in Oakland, CA. Vicki loves her Gurus pupils and is excited to be part of the Gurus Education program.

Dr. Kodili Nnadozie is a Nigerian-American raised in Maryland, but has lived in California for the last 5 years. He received his PhD in neuroscience with a specialty in cognitive development. He has taught for over nine years, from K to College with a wide array of experiences, including public speaking and debates. Kodili is also writing a mental health book.

Larry Elkins Currently is a motivational/inspirational speaker and sales manager for EGA Marketing in San Jose California. He has written two books that is in the publishing process right now. The first book is called ” The Concept of Love” and the second is called “God, according to all religions”. Larry enjoys mediating and educating himself on everything that is inspiring and self-empowering. He believes that the best way to master something is to teach it. Larry feels blessed to be a Public Speaking and Debates teacher for Gurus Education. He believes that life is an open book and we are all authors.

Ms. DeLano is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Education, graduating with honors. She taught in elementary and middle schools in Oakland and Berkeley throughout her college career, focusing on literacy training and subject tutoring. Ms. DeLano plans on pursuing a Masters in Education and earning a teaching credential in order to teach at the high school level. She loves interacting with students and helping each one recognize and achieve their potential. Ms. DeLano gained extensive experience in public speaking and debate through competing on her high school’s Mock Trial and Model United Nations teams for four years.

When she is not teaching her Gurus she works as a tutor at Dublin High School in the areas of math, science, social studies, English and writing. Apart from teaching, Ms. DeLano loves long distance running, hiking around the beautiful Bay Area, trying new recipes, practicing Mandarin, and learning about the world around her.
